Hi! My name is Remco. I was born and raised in Putten, Netherlands. Usually I spend my time writing code, reading books, listening to podcasts, or running.
I’m gifted with an interest in (micro) biology. Subjects about increasing longevity in particular. This is still very wide ranging. It goes from nutrition, exercise, and drugs to technological innovations.
Fun facts about me:
- I played in the Dutch team of a computer game (Battlefield Heroes).
- I resisted to take a boring student job so I learned how to play poker profitably.
- For my graduation assignment I went to Vietnam alone for 5 months without ever having flown in a plane before… yea, I don’t know why I did that… no regrets though!
- I’ve been on a ketogenic diet for a month to experience its benefits in endurance sports. At the end of the month I ran 38,5 kilometers quite easily. Now I should go the same distance again on my usual diet…

I’ve struggled with completing goals and I’ve seen the same thing with other people. At the same time I’ve accomplished awesome things and have seen other people do the same. What makes it that you fail or succeed and can you influence the chance of succeeding?
Yes, you can influence the chance of succeeding. I’ve been reading books and attended live events. There’s some overlap between all the information. They tell you to visualize where you want to be in a few years, to write your goals down, to make a detailed plan, to focus on those goals, to involve friends and family, etc…
However, there was no fitting tool for this yet. A place where you can organize your plans. A tool that reminds you to think about what you want. A tool to see how other people have accomplished their goals. A tool that enables you to involve friends and family and keep them up-to-date.
So I taught myself to program and create the platform… The first goal I created on the platform is the goal of creating this platform. So you can see what I’ve done to make it what it is now.
